Nic Petersen, Florida: 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year

Nic Petersen was named the National Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2022 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field season. Petersen, in his 10^th year as associate head coach at Florida, coached athletes to score 27 of the Gators’ 74 team points in winning the program’s first team title at the NCAA DI Outdoor Championships. His top pupil, Jasmine Moore, swept the long jump and triple jump at both the NCAA Outdoor Championships and SEC Outdoor Championships, while Claire Bryant (long jump) and Natricia Hooper also earned First-Team All-America honors in Eugene, Oregon.
